Northminster Preschool is a Christian and play based Preschool that has been caring for children in the Clairemont and University City communities for over 50 years. We provide a safe, nurturing environment of play and art based learning and activities for children ages 2 - 5.

We have small class sizes with a maximum of 15 students and 2 qualified and experienced teachers. This enables us to give children much more individualized and loving attention than they will find in a public school setting.

Our curriculum is geared to meet the needs of your individual child.  Through a variety of daily play based activities and experiences, your child will be offered creative expressions in arts and crafts, games, songs, math concepts, language, science activities as well as, large and small muscle development activities. In partnership with parents and teachers, we also strive to meet the social-emotional development of each individual child by building strong relationships and connections to aid in their social, spiritual and emotional growth.

We also have a large campus with two large age appropriate playgrounds and LOTS of outside space to play and develop gross motor skills.

We offer Half Day and Full Day schedules with flexible Extended Care drop off and pick up times. Our Hours are as follows:

Half Day Hours: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Before Care: 8:00am - 9:00am
Lunch Bunch: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
After Care: 1:00pm - 4:30pm

We follow the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) vacation and school closure schedule. Our first day of school is the week after SDUSD starts and the last day is the Friday before they close for the summer. We also offer a Summer Program in June and July. The Preschool is closed the first half of August.
